In an effort to test the efficacy of contingency procedures to deal with hijacking threats, an anti-hijacking mock exercise was conducted on 26.06.2024 at AAI’s Kullu Manali Airport under the Chairmanship of DC, Kullu. AAI, CISF, State Police, IB, Airlines, Home Guards, ITBP, State Fire Services, State Health services and other State Government agencies participated in this drill. Observers from NSG, Delhi and BCAS, Dehradun also attended the same. All the stakeholders performed their roles and responsibilities as per Kullu Manali Airport anti-hijacking contingency plan. After the drill, DC, Kullu and SP, Kullu praised all the stakeholders for their preparedness for the contingency and APD, Kullu Manali Airport thanked to the stakeholders for their vital contribution.
